Its the first weekend of October 2015 and the year is literally flying. Don’t let this bog you down if you haven’t met the resolutions you made in January, you still have 3 months to go. This weekend is full of mad fun you shouldn’t miss out on. Here’s a run down of amazing events and offers happening this weekend.
1) Nairobi Pizza Festival
The first ever Nairobi Pizza Festival will be happening from 5th to 9th October at over 20 restaurants. Pizza lovers get the treat of their life with a buy one get one free offer on pizzas and Carlsberg beer. All you need to do is download your FREE pizza passport here and present it to any participating restaurant and walk away with two pizzas and beers. You can present your pizza passport as many times as possible during the pizza festival period with as many friends in your group.
2) 2nd Edition Of The Ole Sereni Bush Barbeque
Has it been a while since you engaged with mother nature? Ole Sereni would like to give you magical
moments on their exciting Game Drive which will be followed an evening Bush Barbeque. This is the first Bush Barbeque of its kind in Nairobi and it happens every first Saturday of the month. It will be going down on 3rd October and the charges are Ksh. 5,000 per person for residents, and Ksh. 9,000 per person for non-residents, inclusive of the game drive and barbeque. The game drives is from 2 pm to 4 pm and the barbeque from 5 pm to 8 pm. Drinks are on special discount so get your advance tickets and head out with your camera to capture the breathtaking moments. There are lots of amazing prizes to be won.
3) Earthdance Nairobi 2015 At Ngong Racecourse
This year’s Earthdance Nairobi is one you should not miss. There will be three stages, curated by three major Kenyan Entertainment Houses. this time round, they are introducing (BYOB) Bring Your Own Bottle in the bar for a fantastic festival experience. Happening at the Ngong Racecourse, there will be a limited bar in operation so make sure your cooler box is packed. There will also be wholesale deals on BYOB so don’t worry in case you finish up all your packed booze. Advance tickets are going for Ksh. 2, 500 and will only be on sale till Friday midnight and gate tickets cost Ksh. 3, 000. Expect mad entertainment from Timo Higgs and Strain, as this year’s headlining acts on the Electronic stage.
4) Jazz Nights At Mediterraneo Restaurants
Jazz lovers your nights from Wednesday to Saturday are sorted with fantastic jazz music courtesy of Jazz Ace, Frank W and Mediterraneo Restaurants. Head to their Gigiri branch on Wednesday nights, Westlands at 9 West building on Thursday nights and The junction on Saturdays, all from 7 pm.
5) Caramel Thursday Latin Nights
Every Thursday night, join the Bossa Nova live band-Eddie Grey Quintet and sway to the tunes from Latin America at Caramel Restaurant. Sip on special Don Julio cocktails all night from 8 pm. Enjoy a night of delicious food, fantastic drinks and great music.
6) Global March For Elephants And Rhinos Nairobi
Show your undying support for our wildlife this Saturday at the Global March For Elephants and Rhinos Nairobi on Saturday from 8:30 am to 3 pm. The March starts at The Nairobi National Museum all the way to Kenya Wildlife Service Headquarters on Langata Rd. The aim of the march is to rally for justice for wildlife.
7) Pool Party At The Rouge Deck At dusitD2
Nairobi’s weather has been extra hot this past few weeks and dusitD2 have come up with the best way to enjoy the weather-a pool party. This Saturday, rock your elegant beach wear and head out to the Rouge Deck for an awesome pool party at the newest pool lounge in Nairobi.
