Among them are a few historic hotels, which have over the decades maintained a consistent standard of service and appearance. Pay these landmarks a visit and make sure to go to their restaurants!
Fairmont The Norfolk Hotel has played a leading role in Kenya’s colorful history, having played host to dignitaries and and many noteworthy individuals. It continues to be among the best-known luxury hotels in Nairobi, Kenya. It boosts of quite fancy and good restaurants including Tatu, The Tea Room, Lord Delamere’s Terrace, and Cin Cin.
Stanley Hotel was built in 1902 among the first hotels in Nairobi and fast expanded to become a landmark in colonial day Kenya. The restaurants in Stanley include Pool Deck, Thai Chi, Exchange Bar and Thorn Tree cafe
Built in 1969 and later renovated in 1997, the Nairobi Hilton is among the oldest hotels to open up in Nairobi and to this day is used as one of the landmark in Nairobi. Hilton Hotel houses 4 restaurants including Café Americain, Pool Garden Restaurant, Sale E Pepe Restaurant, Travellers Restaurant and the Jockey Pub.
Safari Park Hotel
Safari Park Hotel and Casino has grown from a British Army officer’s retreat during the Colonial period to its current status as a world-renowned inland resort. They serve international cuisines including Kenyans favorite meal: Nyama Choma and Ugali. The restaurants in Safari Park include Nyama Choma Ranch, Cafe Kigwa, La Piazzetta, Winners Pavillion and The Chiyo
Set within 5 acres of beautiful gardens near the Nairobi’s CBD, Fairview Hotel has been in existence for decades. Its the only family-owned, family-run hotel in the 4 and 5 star hotel category in Nairobi afetr being acquired by the Szlapak family in 1946.
