There’s nothing like spending all day cooking a bird for Thanksgiving and then having it cut apart into sloppy pieces. Luckily we have a few tips on how to professionally carve your turkey and make it will look just as beautiful on a platter as it did in the oven grill.
Grilling a turkey is easy but the daunting part is when it comes to craving it. To carve a turkey it will take more expertise than just cutting into it with a sharp knife.
There’s a finesse way to carve meat from your turkey, once it is ready put it on a stable surface let it rest for several minutes. This helps in having better control of the knife so that you can slice the meat into individual portions.
The best way is to start by removing the whole legs. If your turkey is cooked properly, you should be able to pull away the leg from the body after the cut without much hassle. Once the leg is removed, separate the thigh from the drumstick and repeat the same process on the other leg.
Once that is done slice the meat from the bones. Slice the breast from the outside the turkey until you reach the cavity. Repeat the same on other side. When done arrange cut pieces on a platter along with t gravy.
