The distinct craft beer aged in Jameson Irish Whiskey seasoned barrels was the result of the exclusive collaboration between Jameson Irish Whiskey and Big Five Breweries (Brew Bistro & Lounge), the first one in Sub-Saharan Africa.
The highly anticipated limited edition craft beer dubbed Enkare is a full bodied rich Jameson barrel aged Tripel Ale. It is perfectly balanced with the distinctive flavour of caramel and roasted coffee from the malt. Hints of vanilla, oak and spicy fruit derived from the bourbon barrels. Crafted to be enjoyed one sip at a time.
Its unique name was inspired by the Masai phrase meaning ‘cool water’, reflecting the true spirit of the city: laidback and friendly.
“We are extremely excited and delighted with this collaboration. An exceptional craft beer that reflects the heritage of Jameson Irish Whiskey and the depth of flavor created by dedication to craftsmanship. Enkare is crafted to be savoured and enjoyed leisurely” said Wanjiru Njenga, Marketing Manager Pernod Ricard East Africa.
Enkare is available to be enjoyed at Brew Bistro Ngong road and the soon to be opened Brew Bistro Beer garden at Fortis Tower. It is currently available in kegs and will soon be available for consumption in bottles for a limited time only.
