El Dorado Hot Chocolate is a perfect blend that is refreshingly good with a blend of flavored liqueur of your choice. A dash of cinnamon makes this cocktail uniquely spicy!
3/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup water
8 ounces milk chocolate
6 cups milk
6 ounce flavored liqueur (add some cinnamon sticks to make it cinnamon flavored)
3 ounce golden rum
Mix 2 tablespoons water with sugar and then stir in a bottomed saucepan, cover and boil with medium heat.
Open the saucepan and cook as you swirl until the sugar turns to dark golden caramel.
Remove the pan from heat and keenly pour the ¼ cup of water into the slightly burnt sugar and be careful, it might spatter
When due: take 4 cups or mugs and add 3 tablespoons of the burnt sugar then add hot chocolate.
Take simmered milk with a flavored liqueur of your choice, rum and mix over the chocolate .
Serve it with a spoon to help in stirring the layers of the cocktail evenly.
